She'd like to think she's grown into this role now. It's been a long while since she's taken over the duties of Ixtab and while the outside of the temple still looks beyond repair, the inside has become a comforting home. She barely even takes notice of the noose trees anymore, looking forward to pushing the door open and sinking into the warmth that permeated the inside of her temple--and to be found in her shinki's arms.
It's a relationship forbidden by the heavens, but that just makes her more determined to hold onto it-- he's her exemplar, after all, and the heavens have never seemed to care enough about the replacement gods to enforce the rules too much before. Yuri's pretty sure if they tried now, it'd be a battle they'd lose-- so, probably, best to turn a blind eye to it.
Yuri didn't care either way, and she finds herself relaxing almost immediately when she steps inside, the heavy door swinging shut behind her as she removes her shoes politely at the entrance.
"I'm home--" She begins, but the words die and trail off in whisps as she takes notice of the change in the air. It's electric and prickles against her skin even under her robes as her gaze lifts to settle on Neji.
A moment's pause and she straightens, resting her hands in front of her as she takes in the picture laid before her. While she's not entirely sure what is happening, she does know she's up for it, her curiosity pulling at her.
"I'm home." She repeats, a bit more subdued this time, and waits with anticipation for a moment before following up with, "is everything alright?" Not that she thinks anything is particularly wrong, but she'd like to make sure.
